About Georgina Kelly
Writing has always been my way of making sense of the world—first through poems, letters, and journals, and later through stories that explore the complexities of being human. After losing my mother around the time I became a mother myself, writing became an essential part of my healing.
My debut novel, NOT PART OF THE PLAN, grew from that experience. It reflects my belief that life rarely unfolds the way we expect, that grief is deeply personal, and that moving through loss can sometimes lead us to unexpected places of strength, connection, and hope.
I’m a proud member of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association (WFWA) and the Toronto Area Women Authors group (TAWA).
When I’m not writing, I work in Human Resources and enjoy life in the Toronto area with my husband and our four children.
Not Part of the Plan
Justin Muller, after a decade spent chasing his dream of opening a restaurant to prove his estranged father wrong, is forced to return to his hometown of Germantown when his mother’s health declines, reigniting old tensions. Meanwhile, Paige Wheeler, freshly graduated and eager to build a life in Boston, is pulled back home after her brother's accident, placing her ambitions on hold as she supports her grieving family. As both struggle with personal setbacks and the weight of returning to lives they tried to leave behind, a chance meeting leads to a no-strings relationship built on mutual understanding and avoidance of pain. However, as their connection deepens, they must choose between pursuing the love they’ve found or the dreams they've long fought for.
